3 great things that happened at VEE
I’m back from Vision Expo East 2017, and I’m so tired I can barely hold my head up. But I wanted to quickly share 3 great things that happened at the show.
We launched ZEISS EnergizeMe lenses
The newest lens from ZEISS, made just for contact lens wearers, debuted at VEE. We got to tell the world about them, and also give away 10 pairs to some lucky opticians at the Opticians on Facebook party. Find out more about ZEISS EnergizeMe on our website.
I found my next two pairs of frames
I’d been looking for a good tort pair, and I scored twice. First, I found a beautiful pair from Selima Optique in a lovely dark tortoise with hints of blue. Selima Optique is owned by Selima Salaun, who is an optician, an optometrist, and French, which has got to be some kind of eyewear/eyecare/style trifecta. But she is also a ZEISS customer, which makes us very proud. The frame I fell for is called the Roxanne.
Next, I was lucky enough to find myself in the MOSCOT booth, who also happen to sell ZEISS lenses in their optical shops. I asked Brand Ambassador Brett Sanders to style me, and in just two try-ons he found me the most amazing tortoise cat-eyes. Here’s me trying them on, and that’s Zach Moscot photobombing me on the left. I really want to own all the MOSCOT frames, even the super-chunky ones, but this is a good start.
We featured stock lenses for the first time, and sold a ton of them
Did you know ZEISS sells stock lenses and uncuts? A lot of people don’t. We decided to fix that this year by featuring our stock lens program and offering a nice discount at the show. The reaction was amazing. I’m not going to reveal our stock lens sales goal, but let’s just say we waved merrily at it as we sailed past it on the very first day.

And there was so much more! Check out more highlights on our VEE 2017 photo album on the ZEISS Better Vision Facebook page.
