Antiquing As An Optician

It started with one pair of glasses that I acquired from digging through some family heirlooms; my Great-Great Grandfather’s gold filled American Optical frame with a round bifocal he wore in the 30’s.  Since then, through the power of EBay, local antique shops, and awesome patient donations, my collection of optical antiques had grown to a point of needing more wall space.  From the Pince Nez frame to the prosthetic eye to the early 1900’s book on “Eye Diseases Cure Without Surgery”, the display consistently sparks a dialogue with patients.
