Could This Be Our Last Time Together?

Okay I am about to get deep and share something with you and I challenge you to live your life this way starting right now. I read an awesome article by Robert Bell in the Optical magazine INVISION (April 2016 edition) titled, "Can the rants of angry customers increase sales?"  In the article Robert Bell quoted a quote from Og Mandino (the author of "The Greatest Saleman in the World") that blew my "wig" back (yeah, that why I'm bald). Here's the quote: “Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster., and do so with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again."

What if we treated every patient/customer like that? What if we treated everyone we ever met or will meet in our lifetime like Mr. Og Mandino's quote like that? I lost my Mother November 23rd, 2003...it hurts still to this day to even know that she has passed away. What I am trying to say is that a week before she passed me and my Mom had a serious disagreement and a argument. A week later she was in the hospital dying and I was over 2000 miles away in a different State and city. I could not get there on time to truly tell her to forgive me. Family, like the quote above from Og Mandino please incorporate it to your craft as an Optician and as the person YOU were born to be. You would never know if you are meeting that person for the last time....
