Social Media Marketing Tip
In February I was in Orlando, FL for Transitions Academy where I learned many great things not only about Transitions lenses, but also about marketing and management.
There was one really cool tip that I picked up that I thought would make a nice addition to my social media marketing plan that I would like to share with my fellow opticians on this forum. Anytime any member of your team gets a new frame take this opportunity to interview them about the frame they chose.
Here are some sample questions you might ask:
- That’s a great color combination. What made you decide on this particular frame?
- How does this style represent your personality?
- What is your favorite thing about this designer / collection?
Publish the questions and answers to your company blog along with a picture of the team member wearing their new specs. If you don’t have a company blog you should take steps to start one this week. You can then share the blog post to FaceBook, Google, Instagram, or any other social media accounts that you actively manage for your optical.
Marketing today has changed. There really is not as much need for high budget professional and highly polished ads. People are really becoming interested in seeing what goes on behind the scenes at your business. These interviews are one way to pull back the curtain and show them the personality of your individual team members. Just remember to keep your message genuine. People really like that.
