From Optician to Frame Rep [Tiffany Welch]
This was a BIG month for me professionally. I left my full-time position at SIGHT Optical to pursue a new venture as the Midwestern Territory Sales Rep. As excited as I am for this next step, I still plan on working at SIGHT as an optician part time and volunteering locally at nursing homes doing minor optical repairs.
The brands I represent are Intrigue Eyewear and Louis Belgium. Both lines include frames that inspire with wearability and modern technical design. Vibrant colors mixed with sellable shapes provide the range of styles that make these lines a striking addition to any independent eyewear shop. We carry both of these brands at SIGHT Optical Boutique, so I am very comfortable with the product and I understand how they impact both the frame boards and the customers.
Louis Belgium is imported directly from Belgium and displays rich European craftsmanship in vibrant colors. Patients loved the almost neon-like colors that this line includes, and everyone had to at least try them on once. From children wanting a bright pink frame, to a librarian wanting a unique colored cat eye frame, Louis Belgium had it covered.
Intrigue Eyewear was designed by a former optician, who has artfully created this collection. Intrigue frames are engineered with the best raw materials and latest manufacturing techniques, while emphasizing unique color combinations. As an optician, I was very happy with this line because there was an Intrigue frame for every face shape and style and I personally loved wearing them. While working full time as an optician, the two frames in my collection that got the most wear time were BOTH Intrigue frames, closely followed by a Mykita.
I am so excited to see what amazing optical shops I may get to tour during my experience on the road, and anxious to maintain my patient relationships while building new ones here at home! I'm sure this will make for some pretty interesting blog posts in the coming months... stay tuned!!!
