Fashion, passion and design were on full display at The Mandarin Oriental in Las Vegas this past September.  This swanky hotel hosted The LOFT LV, a gathering of design-focused independent frame designers, their compelling frame lines and discerning opticians that crave unique, high-end and exclusive luxury for their optical boutiques.

The LOFT concept, founded by Richard Mewha of Bevel (starting in 2000 in NYC, 2013 in Las Vegas), was created to connect these inspiring brands with opticians looking to add something unique to their optical galleries. This year, LOFT LV featured 36 collections from around the world.

Thursday, September 17th, LOFT LV hosted their Party By The Pool, an invite-only event hosted by the independent companies featured at The Mandarin Oriental.  The highlight of this event…a silent disco!  Intrigued? Party attendees were given headphones, with the ability to “change stations” to red, blue or green to match corresponding live djs spinning some sweet-ass tunes.  If you weren’t wearing headphones, you didn’t hear any music.  If you were, you were groovin’ to The Humpty Dance, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Uptown Funk and everything in between.  If you didn’t like the song, you could switch your headphones to a different color/DJ. Coolest. Disco. Ever.
