Recently, I attended some marvelous CE hours presented by Tim Fortner from Transitions. I left inspired, hopeful, ready to re-invent myself, our store, the coaching and consulting I present. And, once again, it is the Baby Boomers that shape the future of inspired opticians. The last Boomers turn 50 this year and with them comes a demand for quality, knowledge and a new way of partnership. They want a knowledgeable, modern optician help them take care of their vision and their looks for years to come. Are we opticians ready for that?
I think "yes", and we have a lot of work to do. It is our leadership and our education that is straggling behind. A successful future requires strategic planning in the present.
