106 Year Old Optical Book

This is just too interesting to not share! My Clinic Manager brought in "The Optical Review" from 1908, which has been in his family since then. Upon reviewing the several hundred page book, our entire office staff was appreciating and being amused by the "Technology" from over a century ago.

A few of highlights from the book include pricing for gold spectacles costing $5-6 per dozen, OD's theories about patients with astigmatism being highly contagious, countless quack medical devices and "Help Wanted" ads advising applicants must be sober.
