One of the most challenging obstacles to deal with today is dealing with the power of anonymous reviews. The public has too much power to voice their opinion on the net through sites such as Yelp. This can be an advantage if approached correctly. One obvious advantage is if a review is favorable, then everything is good. However, if someone has a bad day and wants to get their anger out or if you just happen to be the lucky recipient because they weren't happy with the way you said “thank you for your business”, then everything is not good. As a business, you need to be proactive. You need to publicly defend yourself and your business and expose their ridiculous, unwarranted comments in a way that makes you look good at the same time without looking vindictive. This is hard but can be done.
